  • Description:

    Provides youth of South Stockton space to explore their culture and identity, platforms for advocacy, professional development, and employment opportunities so they can become community leaders and challenge historically marginalized systems.

    Programs include:

    • Little Manila After School Program (LMASP): Focus on history, culture, art, community responsibility, and collegiate access so students graduate with a deeper understanding of their identities and place in history, building on past sacrifices and achievements.
    • Youth Advocates: A paid seven-month cohort program where youth develop community engagement and advocacy skills focused on environmental justice. Youth Advocates will be trained in the science, history, and health impacts of the environment in South Stockton. They will lead culturally relevant discussions and educational projects that engage community members in local advocacy and climate action.

  • Hours: Mon: 4pm - 6pm; Tue: 4pm - 6pm; Wed: 4pm - 6pm; Thu: 4pm - 6pm; Fri: 4pm - 6pm; - (Website accessible Mon-Sun 24 hours. Office is closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve.)

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: LMASP is open to all high school students. Youth Advocates is open to youth aged 17-24 from Stockton and the surrounding area.
