  • Description:

    Responsible for maintaining 1,600 miles of County roads and infrastructure to ensure safe and accessible travel for residents and visitors.

    Responsible for:

    • Repair and preserve road surfaces (patching, sealing, chip seal)
    • Maintain roadside vegetation and shoulders
    • Clean and repair ditches, culverts, and storm drainpipes
    • Sweep streets and remove debris
    • Maintain 265 bridges, 360 minor structures, 1 ferry landing
    • Install and maintain signs, striping, and pavement markings
    • Remove leaves seasonally (Nov–Jan)
    • Maintain ~36,000 trees along County roadways for clearance and visibility
