Arrearage Management Plan (AMP)

Agency: PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY (PG&E)

  • Description: Offers a payment plan option to help qualifying residential customers reduce unpaid balances on their bills. With each on-time payment of current charges, AMP will forgive 1/2 of the eligible debt owed at the time of enrollment. After 12 months on-time payments of monthly current charges, eligible debt will be forgiven up to $8,000.

    Note: If enrolled in AMP, REACH and HEAP payments would only apply to current charges and not towards any debt amount eligible for AMP dept forgiveness.

    • Eligibility: Must meet eligibility requirements: *PG&E customer for at least 6 months and have made at least one on-time payment *Enrolled in one of PG&E's financial assistance programs: CARE or FERA *Owe at least $500 or more on gas and electric bill or *Owe at least $250 or more on gas bill (applies to gas-only customers) *Be more than 90 days past due
