PSPS Vulnerable Customer Status Verification
Agency: PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY (PG&E)
Helps address the needs of PG&E customers whose life or health would be at risk should their electric or gas service disconnected. Households who have self-certified will receive an in-person visit from a PG&E representative before disconnection. Vulnerable Customer status remains on their PG&E account for 90 days. Extension is available up to one year.
Disconnection for nonpayment will receive a notice within 48 hours before or at the time of disconnection. Financial assistance programs, service and payment options available for self-certified vulnerable customers who may have fallen behind on their bills due to hardship.
