PSPS Self-Identified Vulnerable Program (SIV)

  • Description:

    Supports those whose health or safety are at risk if their electric or gas service is disconnected and who do not qualify for Medical Baseline.

    Support may include:

    • Proactive outreach and support during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), major emergencies and multi-day outages
    • Doorbell rings or a doorhanger from PG&E if you do not respond to previous PSPS notifications
    • Extra notice before power is turned off due to nonpayment
    • Increased levels of support for rebates, discounts, and other programs

    Once enrolled, SIV status will stay on your account for one year. You can apply for a one-year extension every year when it expires.
