PSPS Portable Battery Program
Agency: PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY
Provides backup batteries to qualifying customers who rely on medical devices during a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event or long power outage. Batteries can help power medical devices, assistive technology, and durable medical equipment during outages.
Resource Innovations in partnership with PG&E will reach out to eligible customers to complete a phone assessment. Assessment will discuss customer's medical device power needs. Selected PG&E Medical Baseline customers should expect an outreach phone call.

- Eligibility: Must meet program requirements: *A PG&E customers or household member of the customer whose life or health would be at risk should their electric service be disconnected. *On the Medical Baseline or Self-Identified Vulnerable program *And have experienced: -At least one Public Safety Power Shutoff since 2022 or -Three or more Enhanced Powerline Safety Setting outages since 2024 *Pre-qualified customer (customer on Medical Baseline or Self-Identified Vulnerable), no action is needed. Program partner Resource Innovations will reach out directly to conduct assessments. Based on the assessment, customer will be matched with the right portable battery for your power needs. Battery will be delivered to customer.
