Cooling and Warming Zones

    Provides an air-conditioned or heated facility to relief individuals and families from the heat or cold weather. A cooling or warming zone does not provide provisions or care. 

    Free rides on RTD Express, Local, Hopper, and Van Go! services to cooling center.

    Program Hours

  • Hours: Activation of the Center is subject to change as weather conditions change. Cooling Center will open when temperatures are 100°F and above. Warming Center will open when temperatures fall to 31°F and below. In addition to one of the two criteria above, the center will open only if there is sufficient staffing. Kennels available for pets. Cooling Center open May 30-May 31 from 12noon-7pm.
