Coping and Resiliency Education Services (CARES)

  • Description:

    Offers community-based services to increase coping skills and improve parent or caregiver-child relationships. Services available at home or in the community.

    Services include:

    • Course for parents or caregivers on stress reduction, coping with grief and loss, create positive communication, promoting positive behaviors, and building a support system.
    • 12 sessions for children and youth to improve communication skills, increase coping skills and identify and build healthy relationships.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Children between 6-17 years of age and their caregivers who have mild behavioral concerns and not currently participating in mental health services. No Medi-Cal required
