    Offers an on-demand ride sharing transportation service to travel between Stockton and rural areas withing San Joaquin County.

    Individuals share a van with other passengers enroute to their destinations.

    Vehicles can transport wheelchairs. No transport bicycles and only service animals are allowed.

    Van Go! will no longer be available for rides within the City of Stockton. This service is ideal for connecting areas in need of reliable public transportation, such as the rural parts of San Joaquin County, allowing for flexible outings like social visits, shopping trips, and casual visits to shopping centers.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age to book and 13 years of age to ride unaccompanied.
    • Languages: English
    • Application Process: Trips can only be booked through a smartphone or desktop computer. Download the Van Go! mobile app to schedule a pickup or book online sanjoaquinrtd.com/van-go. Same day pick up available, may reserve 48 hours in advance.
    • Program Fees: Regular fare: $4 one-way per passenger the first 5 miles; $0.50 per mile after the 5th mile. Discounted Fare: $3 one-way per passenger the first 5 miles; $0.50 per mile after the 5th mile. Pay with credit/debit card through RTD Van Go! mobile app or pay exact cash amount to the driver at pick-up. *Discount fare valid only for seniors (ages 60 and over), individuals with disabilities, US veterans, Medicare cardholders and individuals with a valid Discount Fare Card (DFC).
