Metro Hopper Services

In order to accommodate ADA-certified passengers who are not able to reach fixed-route stops, each Metro Hopper can deviate from its normal route a distance of up to one mile. Service covers apporximately 75% of Stockton Metro Area for ADA-certified passengers with the one-mile deviation. Reservations are required. Hoppers will deviate up to two times per trip.

Program Delivery

- Application Process: Passengers can download the Vamos Mobility app, create an account, plan their trips, buy tickets for their service type, and use their phone as their ticket. Passenger must scan their tickets using ticket validators upon boarding. Passengers can also pay onboard the bus using exact cash only. ------------ For ADA eligibility, reservations are only needed for deviation and can be made 1-2 days in advance. Call Access San Joaquin to schedule an appointment to determine ADA certified.
- Program Fees: Adult 1-Ride $1.50, Discount 1-Ride $0.75, Adult 1-Day $4.00, Discount 1-Day $2.00. Deviations are $1.00 per deviation, transfers between Metro Hopper routes are free. ADA-certified attendants ride free.
