Driver License and Identification Cards Assistance Program

  • Description: Offers Veterans an easy way to indicate they served in the U.S. military.  The word "VETERAN" will be add on the front of driver license/identification card.  This enabled Veterans to access certain privileges, benefits, or compensation without having to carry and produce a Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.

    • Application Process: Walk-in to VA's Office to get application. Walk-in or schedule appointment at a DMV Office to get card

    • Required Documents: Veteran Status Verification Form (VSD-001) and Driver License or Identification Card Application/Commercial Driver License Application (DL 44/44C).
