    Keeps the City of Ripon clean, operational, and safe by organizing into eight divisions: Building Inspections; Water Treatment and Distribution; Wastewater Treatment and Collection; Building and Ground Maintenance; Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance; Parks and Landscape Maintenance; Street and Sign Maintenance; and Refuse Collection. 

    The department oversees flood and siltation control through flood control system construction, operation, and maintenance, and it investigates issues such as clogged catch basins. It is also responsible for installing and maintaining traffic signals to ensure safe and efficient transportation within the city.
