Gaining Older Adult Life Skills

  • Description: Provides services to older adults with mental health issues.  Services include:  24-hour crisis intervention and non-emergency psychiatric services, medication evaluation by psychiatrist, mental health counseling, case management, assists in applying for financial and health insurance benefits, and support in finding job, volunteer work, or going to school.  Also assist in finding a place to live.

    24-hour phone line offers mental health support and encouragement, information, and referrals.  The line is staffed by Mental Health Outreach Workers.

  • Hours: Mon: 8am - 5pm; Tue: 8am - 5pm; Wed: 8am - 5pm; Thu: 8am - 5pm; Fri: 8am - 5pm; - (Crisis line is available Mon-Sun 24 hours. Office is closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.)
