Community Care Licensing Division

  • Description: Promotes the health, safety, and quality of life of each person in community care. Manages a database of all child care facilities, children's residential facilities, adult and elderly facilities, adoption agencies, and foster homes in California.

    Services include:
    • Find a community care facility: Child Day Care Facilities, Adult Day Programs, Children's and Adult Residential Facilities, and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly
    • Find a health care facility
    • File a complaint regarding a facility, a facility licensee, or a facility staff person
    • Collection of licensing fees
    • Orientation on how to become a provider to operate a community care facility
    • Reviews of a facility

  • Hours: Mon: 8am - 5pm; Tue: 8am - 5pm; Wed: 8am - 5pm; Thu: 8am - 5pm; Fri: 8am - 5pm; - (Office closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, President's Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.)
