Grief Support Services

Agency: COMMUNITY HOSPICE

  • Description: Provides bereavement support to individuals or family members who is grieving the loss of a loved one.  
    • Offers grief support groups (over a dozen specific groups based on type of loss)
    • Individual support; traumatic loss support; workplace grief support
    • Offers community education or crisis grief counseling
    • Coping with the Holidays Workshop (every November)
    • Children and teens work shops
    • Children and teen bereavement camp. Provides a fun camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support offered to those experienced the death of someone close to them. Lead by grief professionals and trained volunteers.  Camp held annually in the city of Modesto.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Bereavement Services - Open to all Grief - must be between 6-17 of years of age and have experienced the death of someone close to them.
