United Cerebral Palsy (UCP)

  • Description: Serves individuals with a wide range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, down syndrome and developmental delays, and provides a range of vital programs and services designed to help them reach their full potential and improve the quality of life for their parents or caretaker.

    Services offer:
    • Adult Services: assist adult participants in gaining basic skills in the areas of self-help, personal needs, and functional skills for independence living
    • Applied Abilities Program (AAP): designed to meet the needs of reach individual participant. Clients participate in variety of skill building activies within the program and throughtout the community. Includes workability, social skills development, cooking, healthy living, budgetting, computer skills, visual arts, and volunteering.
    • Children Services: in partnership with Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC) to provide services to children who are eligible for their Early Start Program. Program services through the Clinical and Family Services program.
    • Program Without Walls (PWW): offers hands-on community-intergrated program tailored to the specific needs and request of clients. Clients works with their parent/caretaker, coordinator, teacher and PWW manager in activities such as life skills, social events, volunteer service, ongoing education, outdoor activies, and annual events.
    • Respite Services: provides support to individuals and families with disabilities.
    • Supported Employment: help individuals with disabilities find and maintain employment. Work Adjustment Program services allow participants of the program to gain real work experience to enhances their vocation skills.
    • Supported Living: designed to enopwer clients with disablity to maximize and maintain the skills and supports necessary to live independently as possible within the least restrictive environment. The Supports to Achieve Independent Living (SAIL) Program place and train/support model that uses a person-center approach to assist the client in obtaining and maintaing the living arrangement of their choice.
