    Offers free, one-on-one Medicare counseling and advocacy. Counseling is provided by trained volunteer counselors.

    Areas of counseling include:

    • How to appeal denials of coverage
    • Medicare supplemental insurance (Medigap policies)
    • Medicare Advantage Plans
    • Employee and retiree coverage
    • Long-term care insurance
    • Medicare appeals or administrative hearings
    • Legal help and representation, referral services and community education

    • Eligibility: Open to: -Persons about to become eligible for Medicare benefits -Persons planning for retirement -Older persons planning the purchase of health insurance -Older persons interested in coverage of future health related costs -Children or other representatives of Medicare beneficiaries
    • Languages: English. Additional languages are provided via a translation service.
