Women, Infant, and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC)

  • Description: Offers a supplemental nutrition program for low-to-moderate income, at-risk, pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children under five years of age.  Participants receive a WIC card for food and nutrition education monthly to help them achieve and maintain good health. 

    Offers breast pump, nutrition counseling, and group classes.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Must meet low-to-moderate income requirements. Women with children 0-5 years of age, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding and reside in California. Automatic Income Eligible if receiving Medi-Cal, CalFresh (Food Stamps), or CalWORKs (TANF).
    • Languages: Telephone interpreters available for other languages. Sign language interpreters are available with enough notice given, Spanish, English
    • Application Process: Call for telephone intake or to schedule an appointment

    • Required Documents: Proof of current address, Picture ID, Medi-Cal card, hemoglobin and/or hematocrit results from your healthcare provider.
