Rapid Re-Housing Program

Agency: CENTRAL VALLEY LOW INCOME HOUSING (CVLIHC)

  • Description: Provides financial assistance for homeless individuals and families with children for a limited time. Central Valley Low Incoming Housing does not provide housing. Services include case management, housing search assistance, and referrals to other community resources. Eligible households can search for housing throughout San Joaquin County. The cost of housing must meet HUD guidelines.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Must meet eligibility criteria:
      -Experiencing homelessness such as living in an emergency shelter (or similar location) or a place not meant for human habitation (car, street, tent, abandon building), or fleeing from domestic violence
      -Have at least a child younger than 18 years old as part of the household. (short-term assistance is also available to households without children.)
      -Be homeless continuously for the past 12 months or had at least 4 separate homeless periods in the past 3 years adding up to 12 months
      -Meet income guidelines and be willing to develop a plan for self-sufficiency
      -Must have proof of residency that reside in San Joaquin County
    • Languages: Other language available through the language line, English, Spanish
    • Application Process: Telephone call. By referral only through Coordinated Entry System. Screening and intake is available through 211 Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
