    Provides one-time limited assistance to prevent homelessness or to assist homeless households obtain permanent housing. A "last resort" assistance restricted to household with no other resources who either in emergency shelters or will become homeless without program assistance.

    Program cannot help people wanting to voluntarily move. Those with assistance from the Housing Authority or another source does not qualify.

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Must meet guideline:
      -Must be a resident of San Joaquin County
      -Must be homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness (receive an Eviction or Pay or Quit Notice)
      -Have income below 30% of area median for household size
      -Ability to demonstrate that assistance will result in being able to maintain housing after assistance

    • Required Documents: Verification of income, documentation of homelessness or of being at imminent risk of becoming homeless (an Eviction or 3-day Pay or Quit notice or similar), and ID for all household members.
