Early Education and Support Program

  • Description: Provides childhood education services and support that promote quality care, education and school readiness.  Provides resources and support to parents and early childhood educators.

    Services include:
    • AB 212 Staff Retention program (Stipends and Professional Development for Preschool and Child Care Professionals)
    • School Readiness Rural Home Visitation program (Works with parents, providers, and teachers linking early care, education, and kindergarten to promote first school experience to children and families)
    • Council for Quality Education and Care of Children (promotes the development of quality childcare and preschool programs)
    • Quality Rating and Improvement System - Raising Quality! (coaching/mentoring for early childhood educators)
    • Children's Services Coordinating Commission (focus on child abuse prevention and intervention)
    • Kindergarten Bridge Camps
    • Head Start and Early Head Start programs
