County Hopper Services

Agency: SAN JOAQUIN REGIONAL TRANSIT DISTRICT (RTD)

  • Description: Offers a deviated fixed-route services within San Joaquin County and provides intercity connections between Stockton, Tracy, Lodi, Manteca, Ripon, Lathrop and Escalon. 

    In order to accommodate passengers who are not able to reach their destinations within a rural area, each County Hopper can deviate from its normal route a distance up to one mile. Reservations are required. Hoppers will deviate up to two times per trip.

  • Hours: There are 5 weekday routes that operates from 5:30am-9pm. Reservation Phone hours: Monday-Sunday 8am-5pm

    Program Delivery

    • Eligibility: Open to all
    • Languages: English, Spanish
    • Application Process: Call to schedule a ride; reservations must be made 2 days in advance Call Mobility Eligibility Center to schedule an appointment to determine ADA certified.
    • Program Fees: Adult 1-Ride $1.50, Discount 1-Ride $0.75, Adult 1-Day $4.00, Discount 1-Day $2.00. Deviations are $1.00 per deviation, transfers between Metro Hopper routes are free. ADA-certified attendants ride free.
