- Eligibility: Open to anyone who believes they might be at risk for HIV or AIDS Confidential HIV testing means you give your name when getting tested. Only medical personnel or state health departments have access to the test results. You must provide written permission before this information can be revealed to others. Anonymous HIV testing means that we will not ask you for your name at any time during the counseling and testing experience. Instead, test subjects receive a unique number that corresponds to their specimen and test result. We do not report the names of people who test anonymously - even if they test HIV-positive - to anyone, and we do not give you anything in writing about your test result.
