Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)

Agency: SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY (HSA)

  • Description:

    Provides a payment credit towards electric, gas, or propane utility bill.

    Credit is pay once a year to one utility company. Credit ranges from $403 to $755. Credit may take up to 8-12 weeks to appear on utility bill. Applicants are still responsible for paying utility bill while the credit is being processed.

    Emergency help may be available for households with 24-48-hour or shut off notices through the Energy Crisis Intervention Program.

    Program is provided through the San Joaquin County Department of Aging and Community Services. Energy credit support is subject to funding availability.
