The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Donated Food
Agency: SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY (HSA)
Provides emergency food assistance to needy individuals and families on an as needed basis. Individual or family can request emergency food one time every 30 or 90 days, depending on site.
Donated Foods - Donated food product are free to low-income residents as supplies are received and become available for distribution.

- Eligibility: Must meet Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) income guidelines and must reside in appropriate zip codes Monthly income must fall within the program income guideline Household / Monthly income 1 person / $3,064.79 2 people / $4,141.88 3 people / $5,218.96 4 people / $6,296.04 5 people / $7,373.13 6 people / $8,450.21 7 people / $9,527.29 8 people / 10,604.38 Add $1,077.09 for each additional person in household
- Languages: Other languages available through the language line, Spanish, English
- Application Process: Call or Walk-in to sign up for TEFAP. Walk-in to pick up food.

- Required Documents: Proof of Residency: Photo ID, utility bill, rental agreement, or any form of current address verification; Required to sign the EFAP Certification of Eligibility form.
