Home Visitation Initiative (HVI)

  • Description:

    Provides school readiness home visitation program to families with children from birth to age 42 months. Offers Parent as Teachers curriculum and Health Education curricula over 18 consecutive months. Families receive tools to assist with their child's healthy development and encourage healthy attachments. Services provided by Parent Educators.

    Service includes:

    • Parents As Teachers (PAT) curriculum
    • Raising A Reader Family Literacy Program
    • Child Developmental Screenings (ASQs)
    • Health Insurance Screenings
    • California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs), CalFresh (Food Stamps), Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and free or reduced meal service screening and referral.
